Assalamualaikum & greetings...

I have been thinking over and over again about my own future. I decide to pursue my education in matriculation level in Kedah Matriculation College. I remember that the result for the scholarship under PETRONAS will be announced on 7th May 2010. The registration for matriculation will be on 10th May 2010. So if I receive a call or message from the sponsorship unit of PETRONAS on the good news of the scholarship, I certainly will not go into matriculation. If not, I will keep going on with my plan. I will be waiting for the result for the scholarship under MARA. If I get the offer from MARA, I will quit matriculation and start my foundation later for my oversea program. Hopefully I will be able to get both and later I will decide which one will be accepted and rejected. Frankly speaking, I adore for the scholarship under PETRONAS. Even though during the EduQuest Camp, they said that even the PETRONAS’s scholar still not have 100% guarantee to be recruited under PETRONAS but yet I believe that being a scholar under PETRONAS has a higher chance compared to the others for the recruitment. So I do hope that all of you can pray for the best of my own. Keep praying and waiting. ^^

Never Give Up!

Assalamualaikum & Greetings…

Here I am continuing with my writings. So, the result of UPU has been announced. Congratulations to all my friends who got the offer for foundation be it in UKM, UM or any other university. I got the offer for diploma in chemical engineering in UiTM. At first, I was totally upset with the offer. I started to think negatively about my own future. Perhaps I was in unstable emotion. Of course I was so green with my friends since they got the best offer for their own. What about me? Hmm. Never mind. I can’t keep this unpleasant feelings playing with my mind. I need to get rid of them. Start to think positively. There will be something precious waiting for me. I just need to have faith with Him. He does His jobs very well.

EduQuest Camp PETRONAS

Conducted in UTP, Tronoh, Perak. had a very long journey. Of course it was tiring. Imagine when u are surrounded with intellectual and wise people. I felt awkward and thought that what a small people like me doing here? Luckily, my friends and my parents gave me supports and encouragements. I talked to myself to not totally hope for the study loan under PETRONAS since there were 2000 applicants. Even though the number of applicants for the oversea programs is quite small but yet I am still not confident with myself. For the first day, I had a mathematics and science quiz. Believe it or not, I make a revision on the SPM syllabus as a preparation for it. Of course I need to work hard for it since I am competing with so many students. It was quite okay. On the next day, in the morning, I had a Critical Reasoning Test which had 2 sections; verbal & diagrammatic series. For the verbal CRT, I need to read 20 passages and answer 60 questions ONLY in 30 minutes. For the diagrammatic series, it was easier compared to verbal CRT. Require my intelligence to answer 40 questions in 20 minutes. OHH! Insane & nonsense!

Then I had my assessment a.k.a my interview. We were divided into groups of 5 members then we received our study case which is air pressure. Each of us in a group have our own recommendation to solve the problem which is global warming. My recommendation was the government should concentrate in lowering the level of emissions. It was quite easy for me since I have read so many articles and project in order to solve the problem. To achieve that such plan, my first strategy was the government should impose a new policy; any company or industry will be fined if their levels of carbon emissions are beyond the allowable amount. With the newly-imposed policy, the government should give an incentive in the form of tax cut-off if any company or industry has a low level of carbon emissions. By enforcing that plan, all the owners of companies will gain awareness in developing their business while safeguarding the Earth and of course they will have financial source to implement any green technology on that purpose. they were all the information i received from BERNAMA entitled 'Malaysia Has A Chance to Reduce 40% of Carbonfoot Prints by 2020. Then I came out with 2^nd strategy, the government should focus on transportation system. With the information I have read from BERNAMA published on 12^th April, the government is planning to turn Putrajaya into a green city by equipping that city with monorail system. So I used these points to justify the importance of public transportation system in solving that issue. I also mentioned that Malaysia is planning to have special lane for buses on the road like in the UK. With the points that I had stated, all my group members had their faith on my recommendation and finally they accepted it. =)
